Luke 9:
22Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Thanks for the scripture and pictures! They’re wonderful! And that’s a beautiful sunset for your banner btw!
I am glad you enjoyed them. I was looking through last month’s album and noticed how many birds were on power poles. Only the Cardinal was taken this month. Papa took the picture of the sunset. He had a good view because it was on his side of the car as we were coming home one evening.
The contrast of the cardinal on the loop of line is the best!
I like that one too. Thinking about it, I remember some of these were taken from a moving car.
That was the first thing I rememeber when I found you or you found me–I forget.
It was your picture of all the birds on a wire. Felt so comfortable–memories of home.
Well they’re absolutely wonderful! I’m glad God is blessing you with so many opportunities to take pictures of them. “Papa” seems to be a whiz at the camera too!
What a delightful sight (and site) you share here! I marvel at all of God’s creation — birds especially. We’ve had some pole-sitters recently (most notably the really BIG red-headed woodpeckers — don’t know them by name — just like looking at them, lol!) If you want to see our great blue heron (Old Boy) just search Rhapsody In Blue on my blog. He’s my favorite.
Thanks again for your help!
Thank you for coming by and for your kind words. I am not familiar with the birds of your area, so I am not sure which woodpecker it would be. We see four different kinds on our property, but have seen the Red-headed and Pileated at other locations. Oh! I would be blessed to ever have a Pileated here, but they really prefer dense forests and we are in the middle of open country.
