Biting My Tongue

Philippians 1:
21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

More Birds in Nebraska than Iowa

Reading this article brought all sorts of comments to mind.  You know I live in Iowa, and enjoy our little corner here.  But there is a totally different climate (not talking weather) that is far removed from that of my home state of Nebraska.  At times it is difficult to stomach.  Well, I will say something nice about Iowa.   If we had never moved here, we may have never gotten to know birds like we have.

The Great Backyard Bird Count was one we did not participate in this year.  And actually made the conscience decision to not take part.  We did the Christmas Bird Count; we’re in the middle of Project Feeder Watch season; we submit counts to Ebird.  We didn’t really want to do another.

Referring back to the article.  Did they ask the goose if they could put that picture online?  It looks quit unflattering.  :)

Thanks for the scripture and link! Aww poor goose. I wonder if it’s aware of the camera? :)
